Oregon Wedding Showcase has been producing bridal shows since 1987. Judy VanValkenberg fell in love with the shows while working there as an exhibitor. She went to work for the previous owner in 2000 and purchased them when the owner retired in 2004.
This long history has brought the stability and knowledge to give us an edge in creating a great show experience for both brides and exhibitors. We value the relationships we have built with our exhibitors and enjoy working together to put on a great bridal event.
The professional groups we belong to help us stay on top of the business community locally and in the bridal business community around the world.
We are proud members of both the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce and Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce.
Another group very important in our success is Bridal Show Producers International. This non-profit trade association is dedicated to helping members produce professional bridal shows for the benefit of both exhibiting businesses and the attending brides and grooms. By belonging to BSPI we learn what wedding professional are doing across the United States and throughout the world.
Meet Our Staff
Judy Van Valkenberg
Owner, Show Producer
As show owner Judy has an influence in every aspect of the business but her favorite thing is working with our customers. Judy started her career in the wedding industry working for Mr. Formal for 10 years. In her next position as an account executive for photographers in a processing lab she realized her passion for helping small business owners with marketing. Producing bridal shows was the perfect way to combine her past experience with what she loved. Having experienced the industry from the vendor side she has special understanding of how to meet the needs of exhibitors.
Judy lives in Monmouth, the home base of Oregon Wedding Showcase. She has been married to Jay for 25 years and they have a son, Ryan.
Jay Van Valkenberg
Owner, Operations Manager
Jay keeps us current with all things "geeky" and makes sure we are using technology to our advantage. He designed our at-show registration computer area and is our main voice on Facebook. You will see Jay working at the shows doing everything from getting a needed tool to help an exhibitor to taking pictures to post online to promote the show. Jay works full time for Marion County outside his contributions to putting on our shows.
Assistant Show Producer
Linda has been with Oregon Wedding Showcase for over 10 years and worked in almost every aspect of the business. At the shows she is in charge of coordinating the entrance and registration area as well as working with our fashion show coordinators on our fashion shows. Customer service with vendors and brides is her favorite part of the job. Linda lives and works out of her home office in Eugene. Her work history includes over 10 years in restaurant management. She is married to Donald and has 3 children --a teen-age son and 2 daughters in their 20’s who give us constant insight into the world of brides-age gals.
Ryan Van Valkenberg
Computer Consultant and Show Staff
As the son of the owners Ryan is ready and available to help out. Lucky for us he is also willing! At our shows you can see him helping Jay set up the computers, hanging banners and taking pictures of the show. He is the guy his mom goes to when she has a computer question or problem.
We love to brag about our gals up front. Our registration crew is comprised of nieces, daughters, and friends. Most have worked at the shows for several years and will rearrange their schedules to do so because they love it. They are responsible for the first impression our show gives the brides and their sets the tone for the whole bridal show experience. They know how to put someone at ease if they seem apprehensive as well as enjoy admiring a sparkly engagement ring. Brides walk into the exhibition hall prepared and excited thanks to them!
